THE DUMBARTON ROAD PROJECT
About the artist
From Melbourne Australia and living in Partick for 4 years, my photography
has been about
the urban environment and the way we live in it.
I completed my Bachelor of photography in 2001 but I have been studying
the world through the camera and other artforms most of my life.
I love recording the life of a city and I've enjoyed living in Glasgow.
Walking up and down Dumbarton road over the last 4 years and working at
the West Glasgow Against Poverty office (WestGAP) in Hyndland street, I have
become familiar with flavour of the area and it's diversity of issues.
Partick is changing all the time and needs to be recorded.
The issue of regeneration is interesting - how it is handled, it's effects on
long-term residents and how it effects the character of an area.
